Question

URGENT: What are 3 items a painter should always have with him?

Does anyone know what are three items a painter should always have with him? Since the items a painter should always have with him while working are way more than three, I don't know what to put for an answer to this question.

Really cannot help you on your homework. Good luck figuring out what the three items are.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

Six pack on ice, a rag, and a list of excuses why there's paint all over the new hardwood floor and the paint peeling that he just finish putting on.

A five-in-one or putty knife, a dust brush, and a rag. Mine also includes a mini screwdriver, a breakaway razor knife, and at least one slice of each type of paper the job requires. These are the basic tools a painter reaches for throughout the day, and should be carried on person at all times. That's why painter's pants have pockets like they do. If you don't think these tools are reached for throughout the day, try working on a crew of guys who don't carry them. When guys ask me if I have one of these tools, I say yes, I do, I'm a pro.

I am sorry but I grow tired of these one post troll threads from HD PR interns. But I will play.

1. Flint to make fire
2. Water bottle
3. Map/Chart and Corresponding Navigation Device (I am too old to remember how to do dead reckoning and work triangulation over charts. Send me a Garmin!)

If allowed more? And believing serendipity will serve me again some day?

4. Chocolates
5. Nylon stockings
6. Fresh flowers
7. Sparkling wine (or maybe champagne)

If only professional stuff?

5. Sand paper
7. Paint
8. Paint brush

Practical stuff?

9. Keys to the Bubba's trucks or vans from Cape May or Maryland. There are some I like here too but we are a tad short on sea-worthy sailing vessels here in the Midwest.
10. And their credit cards.
11. And keys to get to the sails of their boats. I will then leave the keys to their wheeled vehicles under the seat or over the dashboard.

And, as she tried on her new stockings... And we headed, maybe North from Cape May or wherever Maryland? Because most would look for a sailboat looking to race a Coast Guard Cutter south. I would duck and hide in little ports up the Coast until we got to Novia Scotia. Manly men and women hardened yet somehow softened by the sea would help us map our course from there.

I would promise to mail photos and postcards from every port explored.

Global warming is the direct proportionate to the diminishing number of practicing pirates. Ever since a midget and a dinosaur stood on this planet together it has been this way. Simple solution? Increase the number of global pirates and global warming gets better.

Maybe this is why the profession never worked out for me?

Who cares. Slap a coat on. Get in. Get out.

That it for me too. A putty knife is my most important tool. Would add a piece of sandpaper.
