Urgent! run into problem on paint basement concrete floor

Hi,

I tried to paint basement concrete floor, but run into problem.

The original concrete floor is bare. There are some tiny crack, so builder put some sealant on it (confirmed it is paintable).

Then I paint latex paint on it. But the new paint did not cover the existing sealant, but make the sealant color more sharp.

Can anyone give some idea how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance!

The pictures have been attached.

Thanks!

Put more paint on it. If by 'covered' you just mean uniformity of color, them it just needs another coat or a thicker coat or both. What you are seeing is just the color of the sealant bleeding through the paint. It will cover once the paint film is thick enough. Colors like that Orange are hard to get to cover an often take multiple applications.

Thanks Jmaypaint and Chrisn,

Just wonder, is it OK to I put different color,m such as grey, on second round? Which will be on top of the color of orange.

And, would you please let me know any possible stronger paint to cover that orange color?

Thanks!

As long as they are both latex, you can put ant color on top of the orange
