Transform Ceiling Beam to Oak Color
We are doing a home project and changing our inside trim from a dark pine color to light oak. We have a 24 foot long dark wood beam at the top of our cathedral ceilings which we would like if possible to either cover with some type of an oak venner or paint with some oak look-a-like stain/paint. The beam is some 12 foot off the floor. Any ideas for this rookie as to how best to accomplish this effect? The beam is approximately 8 inches wide by 10 inches down from the ceiling by 24 feet. We would only need to cover 3 sides. Thank you.
