touch up paint for a metal roof

I installed a standing seam roof ,Fabral mansard Brown ,
on my porch
The rest of the roof is Composition with open metal valleys
The brown on the composition valleys has more red in it than the Mansard Brown on the metal roof valley
The Fabral paint is a Enduracote by Valspar , a silipoly coating
I want to paint the open valleys on the composition section to match the standing seam valleys
What steps should I use to ensure good adhesion on the metal ?
what would be the proper paint ? Krylon has a spray paint that is close ,
but is there a better option

Anytime I have painted valleys to match the roof I brush the paint on with a Rust-Oleum type product for metal. Spraying with rattle cans is gonna take forever and leave overspray. Of course painting the valleys depends on how safely you can get onto the roof. Metal roofs are notorious for having unseen moisture on them and one step onto a damp metal section and you are toast! A good sanding of the metal valley and removal of any dust, dirt, or debris should be adequate before painting.

+1 rustoleum metalmax

We use it on SS to paint the metal vent flashing so they match the roof color. Also need it for any touch up that may need to be done.

I usually take a pc of the roofing material as a sample and they custom match it. If you want a dead on match thats what i would do.

Cleaning and preping your valley metal will be the most important part.

Remove rust from any exposed spots and spot prime with a self-etching metal primer. Than I would use a custom color matched rust inhibiting product for metal like the Rustoleum product mentioned. Ben Moore makes some nice metal finishes too. An exterior product should have some degree of UV protection mixed in the formula to help with fading.
