For Those Who Hate To Cut-In

I always try to research, probably too much, on projects and ran across this video which I have nothing to do with. It showed a method I had never heard of and once I tried it I was blown away by the results. It was easy to do and I have never had such a straight line before in my painting.
It took me a few times to duplicate how he was doing it but it works!

Thought it would be good to pass along for the week-end painters, like myself as it helped me. BTW nothing to purchase and only using painters tape.

Seems a reasonable technique for taping flat, drywall walls. Holding the tape roll like that on a varied surface plaster wall would not get you very far. And even the demonstrator was showing sections where the tape did not cover the top of the trim to the wall.

And, taping is still no substitute for learning to use a good angled sash brush!

If you are not sure your abilities or do not want to develop them? Then by all means learn to tape but not to be surprised with the shortcomings inherent with taping.
