Textured ceiling paint cracked and peeling

My ceiling is textured and painted, in one small area, 2 crack lines (about 1 feet in length each) has appeared and the texture and paint seems to be peeling a little.

It looks like this:

I checked and there seems to be no water damage and it is not getting worst. The crack/peel had stayed like that for a long time, over a year, I was just lazy to do anything about it until now.

How should I go about repairing this? Peel off the crack part and then texture the ceiling again and then paint over?

I've seen Home Depot selling those small spray texture product, can I use those for this small area?

Kinda hard to say what's going on there. It almost looks like wallpaper seams. There are wallpaper products out there that look like texture........you apply just like wallpaper and then paint it. If that's not it, it appears to be seam cracks. You will have to dig out the torn paper, remud & re-tape and then try to match the texture. Matching texture is no simple task. That looks like orange peel sprayed from a hopper. Your best bet may be to buy one of the cans of texture and give it a shot as setting up a compressor to re shoot the orange peel is a tall task.

My guess is some sort of surfacing material like NuWal put on wrong. Or some sort of vinyl resurface product. I will defer to Chris though since he is the paper guy.
