Suggestion for painting brand new Dining Table

Hello,

I recently bought a brand new dining table. I liked the size/shape of it but the color doesn't match our interior decor. Our plan is to repaint the entire table. Here is the picture of the table ->

On the specs, it says that it's made of Solid Chinese Ash.

I want to paint the entire table glossy white and the base of the table chrome to give it a modern look and feel. Just to give you a rough idea, I want it to look like this ->

This is my first furniture painting project. I wanna know if this look is achievable Or should I just cancel the order for the table as I have not even received it

If it is something achievable, what product ( primer name/brand, paint name/brand, wood filler/putty name/brand) would you guys recommend?

I would really appreciate your input here.

Thanks.

Your links do not work.

Personally, I would return the table you have and look for something more your taste.

Why don't you buy a piece of hardwood from the big box store, a can of gloss white spray paint, and a can of gloss silver. Paint half of the wood white and half silver. Use light coats. See how it responds to the grain.

I think you can get poplar and oak in fairly small pieces. You don't need a lot for this test.

Furniture with a mirror smooth finish is painted with multiple layers of lacquer applied with an expensive HVLP sprayer. I don't know if you can get that effect with home equipment so easily.

There is no way that you will achieve the same white gloss finish in your first painting project.

Many painters don't have the skill to develop a furniture finish like that.

You can paint it white, but there will be a night and day difference in results.

You might be able to make it white. Mirror-finish chrome will not happen.

take it to a discount autobody paint shop. they can spray it with a car paint - turns out pretty good.
