I have some 70's cabinets with old stain that I would like to re due. Whats the best way to remove the old and apply the new? Thanks for any assistance.

Sorry, Thought I posted in the wrong Topic before

You can use pretty much any good stripper. A gel works best to cling in the nooks. As for staining, don't use Polyshades. That stuff is a messy nightmare. Use a normal oil stain and a couple coats of polyurethane over the stain.

this man speaks truth. if you scratch polyshades, it looks like crap. because it scratches the color in the poly as well. if you stain FIRST, then put a poly over, only the clear scratches. you dig?
