anyone had good luck on finding a good semi transparent stain to go on cedar log homes?

You are right. We are being spammed with a somewhat clever one two punch.

Both log cabin posts were by newbies. Michael Whalen rode in on the white horse with the miracle product short after the OP to rescue them.
