staining on aluminum siding

My old aluminum siding has just been repainted and stains are beginning to appear. It was power washed and dried before painting and an appropriate paint was used. What could be happening?

I think you're assuming too much. Either an appropriate paint was not used, or there were stains that were not appropriately sealed/primed prior to the application of the paint. What exactly are these stains?
