stain for new deck

I need to know what the best kind of stain to use on a new pool deck.
I have been looking at Olympic and Cabot, but not sure about what type of stain i need. I dont want the surface to be slick when wet, so what are my options.

Is it pressure treated? I'm a big fan of Deckscapes.

I would wait at least six months for the chemicals and water to dry out of new pt lumber before staining it.After that, Deckscapes semi transparent would be my choice.

I use a lot of the Olympic Max toner. I really like how it soaks all the way into the wood, really leaves no film at all. It also doesn't seem to be prone to lifting like Cabbot semi trans can.

I have been getting three solid years out of the Olympic on well prepped decks. It fades out over time. If you restrain often enough, the prep required is usually just a good washing.

After your deck seasons, its a real good idea to wash it, and even sand it lightly, before applying stain. Often, deck maintaince nightmares begin because people assume that new wood doesn't require any prep. This is a false assumption In my experience.
