I am doing some painting around the homestead and I have some interior shutters that need to be painted. I am using Behr Premium Interior Paint Satin Gloss and want to know if this paint can be sprayed on with a Walker Paint Sprayer? Does it need to be thinned out? What do I thin it with? And to what consistancy does it need to be to be affective? This is my first time to be using a forum like this so bear with me. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Do you mean Wagner? Can't say either I, nor Google can easily find a "Walker".
In any case, spraying instructions can be found on the can of paint. (If not, call the tech support number on the can. Do NOT, under any circumstances, ask the monkeys behind the counter at BigBoxCo. The accuracy of the answer would be in much doubt.) The can will give the allowed tip size, along with any thinning instructions. (Water-base paint is usually best thinned with Floetrol.)
Any chance we can talk you out of the Behr paint? If you grabbed a standard color off the shelf then it could have been sitting there for a month or longer and is in desperate need of spending a couple minutes on a shaker. If we can't talk you out of the Behr paint, then lay the shutters down on something flat as Behr paint is notorious for sagging especially if you thin it for spraying.
