silicone not okay for exterior paint?

Normally you would want to use a sika flex 1-A on exterior where the cement and wood meet...Takes awhile to dry and is strong smelling however your out side and have a great of fresh air source to work in.

A drop cloth isen't to catch paint, It's to protect what is under so wipe the drips as you go and don't track.
