Sikkens Rubbol Solid Siding Finish

I painted my new, never been painted or stained cedar sided lakehome 2 yrs ago with the new Sikkens Rubbol Solid Siding Finish that replaced the DEK Solid Finish. Within 3 months, it started to peel and flake off on one wall that gets southern exposure. Now, 2 yrs later, it is happening in all areas that get high-sun. I did prep it properly, using a TSP bleach solution and pressure washed it, letting it dry about a week before painting. I have been painting and staining my homes and decks for over forty years and do know what I am doing, but I have never seen a product do this. I have 2 colors on the house. The brown is peeling, the red is not. It is also not happening in shaded or covered areas....yet. Only where the sun hits it and is heavily peeling/flaking in high-sun areas. Every weekend, more seems to be peeling and flaking off. I have been told that this is a new product and have seen a few complaints on-line that are pretty much exactly like mine. Anyone here have experience with this product?

I had a Sikkens Rep out 6 weeks ago but haven't heard anything back yet. He tried to imply I didn't prep properly before painting, but that is an insult as I did and told him so, so prepping isn't an issue.

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

Sikkens is a nightmare for all I know who use it. Now you have to strip it off which will be extremely costly. That could be reason for no call back from them.

How long was the siding up beforeyou stained it and had it turned grey already?

Behr Paint: The plastic buckets are good, that's about it.

Some notes here....

* Rubbol Solid-siding Finish didn't replace Solid-DEK. 2 different things there.
* Matt1970's note is important....How long was bare wood exposed??
* What kind/quality of insulation in the home?
* Did ANY TSP get dried onto the surface??
* Was any "Mill-glaze" sanded off?

im not backing sikkens. i frankly hate sikkens. .. i only use rymar products. But,. . . . 99% off all "product failures" occur do to inadequate prep. . .or some unknown variable (heat, contamination, moisture, wood delamination, adhesion issues, vapor/solvent entrapment) and.. i hate to say it, but flaking is mainly caused by lack of surface prep. (usually). sikkens should take samples, check product batches, and figure out what exactly happened for you in their lab.

I would pick the mill glaze as it was new wood that he never did anything to.
