Semi Emergency

Used alkyd paint on an exterior door. It's very humid today and the paint is not dry enough yet to close the door. How can I keep it from sticking to the weatherstripping. Would a coating of baby oil work? My friend's husband will be home soon and it's about 103. The AC is running continuously and it's 82 in the house. Help!

Put a plastic sheet up over the doorway & leave the door open to dry
That's what you should have done in the 1st place
Painting on a humid day not a good idea if you need something to dry quick

All of the above. Next time, you could also try a bit of japan dryer in the paint, but check with the vendor first, as paint chem is a lot more complex than it used to be.
