Second coat of solid stain on house???
Hi: I just finished staining my house with Pittsburgh Paint Ultra solid stain. Should I do a second coat at this time even though it appears to look good? It previously had a solid stain on from many years ago.

No. You want to avoid having the stain build up too much on the surface which can cause it to crack, flake and or peel.

Ditto. New wood applications call for two coats of solid stain. You only need one when going over a previous coating.
