second coat of semi gloss

I painted my first coat of simi gloss and had to take off before the second coat got applied at the recommended time. Can I paint the second coat on to a paint that has dried for 24 hours?

Nope you blew it! it has to be done with in 23 and 3/4 hours after the first coat now it is sand it all down and start all over.
