Sap coming up thru 2 coats of wood stain?

I had stripped the deck and covered with 1 coat of SW latex solid color stain.

It sat for 30 days and we decided to change color.
light power washed it and came over with second coat of same stuff, different color.
Made sure it was completely dry before staining.

After about 2 weeks, I noticed a sticky substance coming up on deck?

Never saw anything after the first coat.

Some of it is brown and sticky and definitely sap.
Other spots it is white and chalky, but still sticky.

We have had really bad humidity here, but I've never heard of sap coming up thru 2 coats?

Not sure what to do?

Stain still looks okay and is not peeling or chipping.

Anyone seen or heard of this?

Latex products won't stop sap bleed. Even oil has a hard time blocking it out. You can try a clear shellac just on the knots and then recoat with the stain.

Are you sure it is coming out of the deck and not from above?
The white substance sounds more like chemical bleed. How old is this deck?
