sanding trim

hi,

Do I sand the trim in between the 2 coats of semi-glossy paint?

thanks

Sanding isn't necessary between uncured coats. If your next coat is applied weeks later, it would be advised. Follow the recoat directions on the paint can label.

Depending on the style of trim I often use a 4" hot dog style foam roller when priming and painting. This way there's no brush marks and it's faster.

I also presand all my trim. Most unprimed trim will have what's called mill marks on it. It looks like horizontal lines on the face caused from the planner.
A real quick sanding with about 100 grit paper takes it right off.
