sand paint

Before anyone offers suggestions a bit more information may be helpful.
What kind of porch? Wood, cement, etc? And what do you plan to do afterwards? Paint, stain, etc.?

Are you sure it's just sand? I'd say it's something else besides sand if its eating up your sandpaper.

try using a brick.. but the work that comes after you get the sand off is going to be extensive..

but the sand will be gone!
