Restaining Kitchen Cabinets-Mistake??

ok..so I have been restaining my kitchen cabinets for the last couple months! I know..long time. Anyhow, I removed the doors and stained them outside while of course the rest was done inside. Once I got the doors inside, they are much darker than everything else. I have handsanded and it has not worked. Thinking the poly. would lighten it, I already placed one coat on the doors. What can I do???

Start all over again or paint them, or just leave the doors darker. Now that the doors are darker, there is no way to make them lighter( at least not that I know of)

you will have to use a darker colored lacquer (best) or paint to fix this. A dark stain darkens in sunlight. This is how we make a dark cherry. Or move all the cabinets to the sunlight for a few days until they all look like the doors.
