Restain cabinets, what to do with cheesy laminate sides

This is my first post. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel. We just ripped up carpet (yes carpet), and found oak floors in our fixer upper. Now my cabinets don't look right with our newly finished wood floor. I would like to restain them a darker color, they are in good shape. I think we can handle that, but I have 4 or 5 end cabinets that have laminate on them. It is basically a sticker that looks like wood. Can you order that somewhere, so I can match it with the new color I choose for the cabinets?

Thanks in advance for advice,

Restain cabinets, what to do with cheesy laminate sides

I covered the side of my bath vanity with a thin (1/8 th inch) panel type piece of wood. I cut to the piece to the same exact size/shape, stained it to match the front of the cabinet and used glue to attach it. No one can tell and it looks great.
