Resin cornice boards

My daughter who will soon be a first time homeowner read about a resin cornice board thats easy to hang and paintable.

I am doubtful on both counts.

Also, she wants to paint her ceilings a med blue. I've never seen a color on ceilings but white. Its more a decorating question but I wonder if any pro painters ever have a request to paint a ceiling a color other than white.

Yes, I'm keeping my opinions to myself

SO, painting ceilings (with colors other than white) is far more common today than it ever was, well, at least in the last 25 years or so. I've not done blue on the inside, but, I've seen it done on the outside for porch ceilings. I often do creamy whites on ceilings and have done taupes on ceilings. I'm a traditionalist and prefer the crisp, white look of a well painted ceiling that makes a wall color pop with nice, tight paint lines at ceiling level.

As for resin, I will let someone else tackle that one. I assume it's a very slick type surface which may require some prep work.
