Replacing wallpaper border, do I need to paint?
I have finished walls in a kids bedroom, which had a border through the middle of the room.
I successfully removed the border cleanly, to put up the "big boy" border now... but noted it's not as wide as the previous border. Thus, there will be about 0.5~1.0 inch exposed that previously wasn't.
As I mentioned, the wall is finished, however the now exposed portion (which was previously covered by the old border) is "dulled" compared to the rest of the wall.
Is there a way to get this to blend better with the rest of the wall? I prefer to not have to paint the whole room -- as it is still in great shape and matches the motif that we are changing the room to. We were hoping to be able to just change the border -- then realized the size difference in borders (oops!).
Is there a latex clear coat of some kind which can be painted on to put the semi-gloss back in to the room?
Any answers appreciated! TIA!

If you have left over paint, you COULD try to touch up but best bet would be to re paint.
