removing paint chemically

Just wanted to thank Amakarevic for suggesting this product. I have a fireplace that had been covered with multiple layers of paint, then black glass panels put over top of that. I decided to try the Peel Away product because of your photos and it worked very well. I still need to do the sides and repair some brick behind the mantel, but it is looking pretty good. I think I'll try and clean up the mortar a little more with a wire brush or riffler rasp and then apply a small amount of mortar for looks, because the bricks came so clean they look nearly new. I was so relieved the bricks werent the standard red, I think they go better with the wood floors. Thanks again!

removing paint chemically

you are very welcome. glad it all worked out for you. there were innumerable "experts" on this forum who said that an elaborate sand blasting job was the only way to go about it and yaddi-yaddi-yadda ... chemical is really the best way to go. i cannot tell there was ever paint on my bricks.
