removing paint

I want to remove my exterior weather bord paint.
Need apain striper. I sanded but does not remove paint. I used internal wall sander. But it is not strong enough to do exterior work.
Can I use randam orbital sander to sand it.
What is the best way to remove paint to reasonable level to repaint the wall.

Mpj111:

When people are wanting to repaint their house, they don't normally strip the paint off entirely. What they do is scrape the paint to find any places where the paint is loose, and scrape that paint off with a SHARP paint scraper. There is no point in removing paint that's sticking well only to replace it with paint that will stick equally well. It's more efficient to remove only the paint that's not sticking well and paint over the paint that is.

The sanding is done just to "feather edge" the ridge between the areas where paint was removed and wasn't so that you don't see a ridge under the new paint.

If you're paint is sticking well, perhaps all you need to do is degloss it with a chemical deglosser, rinse the deglosser off, and paint.

Thanks for your comments.
I will scrape only loose parts.
