Removing Lemon Pledge (!) From Substrate???

Roommate tried to help scraping a window sill of old paint. He did a good job scraping down to the base layer of very old oil paint and some areas of raw wood. He then cleaned the whole area after scraping - old oil & raw wood - with Lemon Pledge spray!
I know this has wax and/or silicone in it and is the last thing on earth that should be used to clean the area.
How do I clean this Pledge off? There's a lot of it I can feel the slickness of the surface.
I do have TSP substitute.

I told him to scrape away a little more to try to scrape some of the Pledge contaminated surface off. This will be primed with an alkyd primer (Ben Moore #217 Underbody Primer).

Thanks for any help.

Try good old fashioned mineral spirits and then TSP substitute.
