Removed Veener .....HELP ME PLEASE
Ok I used a steam iron to get this horrible veneer off my cabinets and now their is paint, (not problem i'd just sand and prime)
BUT there is the glue substance from the veneer that is still there.......what should i use to get this crap off..... Then I just sand, Prime, and Paint Correct???? |
So seriously........no one is answering this question?
|
Well, Im not sure but there are many adhesive removers out there...you can get them at the big box stores in the paint section, I think. Im not sure what they will do to the wood...but since you are painting anyway....:)
Hope that helps |
I'd sand it off (assuming it's hard)
W/O knowing the adhesive used, it's hard to say what will remove it If it's still sticky, then try some solvents/adhesive removers |
I agree, just sand it off and prime it. If you bring it down to bare wood, it's better than leaving some residue on there. It's not as bad as you might think. :brows:
