Remove silicone from painted walls ?


hi there everyone, I am new to this site and to DIY, i would like to know how to get silicone off newly painted bathroom wall? can anyone help? cheers Skyblues

Remove silicone from painted walls ?


In my experience, nothing will take cured silicone off. You can remove it with a razor blade, and patch and repaint anything you damage.

I have a bottle of 'silicone remover' in the bag to be returned to the store. It's gelled mineral spirits that's supposed to loosen the silicone's grip on whatever it's stuck to, but it did nothing for me. I suspect it would damage your new paint.
