I have a new mahogany door i'm going to install and have finished staining it. When I got done the staining I had to set it aside for a couple weeks while some painting and other cleanup was done. When I got back to it there was a coating of dust on the door. I've used a damp rag to wipe it down but the dust look remains...I think it's in the grain.
Are there any suggestions to get this dust out of the grain? I've heard of tack cloth...is this the way to go?
I need to remove the dust to put the final clearcoat protectant on.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks very much.
