recaulking small area

Over the summer I recaulked the around the bathtub that meets the tile on the wall. In 2 small places near the corners, holes had appeared as though an air bubble popped. I have removed the caulk in the corner probably 6" on either side of the corner. Can I apply the new caulk just over the existing to fill in the exposed area?

Yes, since you took out the other caulk it should work. Just make sure it's dry and that you use bathroom caulk (silicone and made for bath), which is more mildew resistent. Let it dry for 48 hours.
