Question about colored spackle/Textured wall

Hi everyone,
I have a textured white wall that I want to smooth it and re-paint it with a green color. I bought a can of wall spackle and when I reached home I found that it's a grey (colored) spackle. The question is, is it possible to use the grey spackle and then to use white prime over the spackle and then to paint with a green color?

Thanks in advance

It should not be a problem, I don't know what kind you bought, but some joint compounds and spackle do have a grayish, off white color, as long as you prime the repair and apply two top coats of paint you will be ok.
