problem - latex paint over oil paint

I need help. I recently bought a condo and the previous owner used a white latex paint to freshen up the doors. Unfortunately, the doors were originally painted with a dark brown oil based paint and I now have a mess! The white paint is peeling off at the slightest touch and revealing the dark brown paint underneath.

What is the best course of action? Do I need to strip the doors completely? I have at least 20 doors to paint so I want to make sure it's done right.

Could be worse. My wife did the same on louvered closet doors and colonial trim in a high traffic area. I had this discussion again in the paint store this week although our problem was several years back. I threw out the doors and bought new trim. She wanted new doors anyway.
One paint shop siad there may be a primer that will adhere through the latex and onto the oil. But what is the point through all the flaking ? I'm fussy so I started out sanding the loose bits but threw in the towel.
Hang in there there are some good folks on line perhaps someone else has a trick that worked. I would start with light sanding and see what flakes off. That will likely be required either way since you don't want to replace 20 doors.

You will need to remove as much of the latex paint as possible, one way or the other, sand ,scrape scream, cuss, prime with an oil based primer then paint again.

Maybe take them outside and blast them with a power washer.
