Priming walls with lots of repairs

Took my time repairing all the holes and dings on the walls. Walls now have white splotches all over the place. I used joint compound for the repairs and sanded smooth, flat, and feathered. I decided to spend the extra money and bought Sherwin Williams paint and primer. Painted a coat of primer and still see the repairs. Should I use 2 coats of primer on the entire wall? On the other walls that are repaired the same way (have to paint whole house), should I spot prime first, then prime the entire wall so the repairs have 2 coats? Is one coat of primer on the entire wall enough on these repaired walls and move on to 2 coats of finish coat?

Do you prime skim coated walls twice?

You can spot primer the patches before your over all primer coat if you want but if you are using a good primer you should not have to do so. You usually do not gain anything with an extra coat of interior primer.

The typical system is one primer, 2 finish coats.
If you are using a higher sheen (eggshell or above) on a critical light wall, sometimes an extra spot helps.
