Primer

I carry about 5 primers- for different problems.
Question is to general.
Primers are problem solvers- whats your problem?

Primer

Need 2 Primer recommendations.

New Sheetrock/mud.
Primer for that.

I also have a brand new cast iron pipe / no hub fittings.
I plan to paint that.
I'm going to assume Zinnsers red is the best primer for this.

Primer

For new drywall, I'm not too fussy. Been doing the painting gig for 35 years and never had a paint failure because of the primer I used. My preference is SW's Drywall Primer, but, it can be pricey. I like Valspar's PVA primer but many painters on here will say NO to PVA. I also liked Valspar's "New Contruction Primer" but I believe it has been renamed.......it was a lot like Sheetrock's First coat. For metal, I like an oil based primer formulated for metal.......most major brands make a primer for this purpose.

Primer

I use a high bond waterbased primer and 12 inch brush to prime by truck before it goes to the body shop and all my cast iron pipes?

What are you priming? This post is idiotic.
