Question

Popcorn Walls

I have just moved into a rental unit that has popcorn walls throughout. I am familiar with popcorn ceilings but have never seen interior popcorn walls. Every single wall in the house is white and I really need to paint. I've read a few threads on popcorn ceilings but I need some help with walls.

Thx

Popcorn Walls

I've seen popcorn on walls before but usually it's painted over to make it durable. I couldn't see anyone spraying on popcorn and not painting it on vertical walls as it would very very easily flake off. If its painted already(you can't pick the popcorn off with little effort) then I would say just go ahead and paint.

Popcorn Walls

also, don't try to remove it... besides it being messy to do, the popcorn is likely is hiding many wall surface imperfections. Just use a roller for rough surfaces and you should be fine... Good luck!
