pollen/stain

I live in NC and the pine pollen is in the air. I plan to stain my deck soon. Should I wait until the pollen "season" is over? Can the pollen pose a color or adherence problem?

I think you should wait. Odds are low that it's going to have any effect but if it's falling pretty hard it'll stick to the wet surface. The stain will penetrate if it's clean so I think if theres going to be aproblem it's going to be the color.
