plaster ? again
Previous owners painted over those plastic peices you insert in plaster walls to hang pictures. I pried out some, obviously left a hole. I used plaster patch to fill them, stayed slightly powdery in finish. Is that normal and fine to prime and paint over? Any other suggestions for removal of peices and filling?

plaster ? again
I often will take a stiff putty knife and smack off the part that is higher than the surface, slightly tap whats left to set it a little deeper and then spackle ( might take 2 applications) . sand and spot prime, you're ready for finish.
