Pittsburgh deck stains

I know Pittsburgh is a respected paint brand around here...what about their "Sun Proof" line of deck stains? I've not seen it mentioned whenever a question is posed about quality deck stains. Anyone have experience with it?

Nobody I know uses them, sorry 'bout that
I wonder if it's a regional thing?
Can't say I've seen them out here
But I'm in Cabot Country...New England... so it might be one of those things
(Cabot is made out here in Massachusetts)

Hmmm...interesting. I found the product on their website, which is what led me to ask. There's a Pittsburgh Paint store just up the road from my house, but i've never been in it to see what they carry. I did find it strange that i've never seen anyone mention/recommend it when talking stains. My deck needs it's first ever coat of stain soon...maybe i'll be the first to report on it here. Thanks Slick.

There's the Pittsburgh dealers out here
I've used their products for years
I just don't remember seeing stains
-'course I wasn't looking...lol

Builder applied this to our new deck and balusters. PPG Sun-Proof Deck, Fence and Siding Stain, 100% Acrylic Latex (urethane modified). Instructions are basically make sure the wood is clean and apply the stain, it is self priming.

Now six months later it is peeling on the steps, not just a little, either. And don't set a pot on the deck even for a few days, it will leave a ring.

I guess I can get out there every six months and repaint the steps. Anything I can do to make it last longer?
