Permanent Ceramic Coating/Paint ?? Really?

I have seen ads for a long lasting "permanent" ceramic coating/paint and would like opinions on this.

I am a landlord who likes the idea of not having to re-paint my old mineral shingles and wood shingles every few years. Currently, I use Benjamin Moore paints.

I'd be interested if a coating like this could be applied by DIYers? My guess is not because of the multiple prep and special equipment to get the polymer on the surface.

It would also be interesting to hear about a cost comparison to figure out the long-term savings of time and money involved.

Thanks!!
