Peeling Paint on exterior wall

HI,

Im looking for some much needed advice on the problem I have with my exterior wall. As you can see from the images below the paint is peeling very badly. I painted this wall in May 2010. Everything was fine up until December when the peeling started. Since then it hasnt stopped. It is a real eye sore looking out my living room window.

How can I remove the paint left on the wall? When re-applying paint what preperations will I make? Again any advice would be much appreciated!
