Peel stop

I need to repaint my windows. Someone told me to use peel stop before i paint. They say it glues down the edges of the old paint. Has anyone ever used this?

Peel stop

Yes I sell a fair bit of it. You have to understand that it won't work miracles though. You still need to remove as much loose material as possible. Zinsser Peel Stop or XIM Peel Bond will get under the edges of what is left and glue it down.

Peel stop

If you are uncertain whether the surface is sound then yes either strip it completely or use a product like Peel Stop to help prevent future peeling. XIM makes another one just for windows and similar areas called Trim Magic, but it's ungodly expensive.
