Painting wallpaper covered paneling.

My bathroom walls are covered with factory made wallpaper covered paneling. Can I paint this if I prime it first? Will the wallpaper bubble up if I do this.

of course with out seeing it I cant say for sure ,but I will anyways .no it should not bubble .I would go Zinsser's oil base cover stain ,get at the big box about 23 dollars. use a old or cheap brush then pitch brush and roller cover when done.caulk in gaps when primer is dry ,then 2 coats of good latex paint.

Remember oil based primer or Gardz Latex primer is water based and water canl cause bubbling.

Why don't you see what is under it and if its drywall just take it out? Its probably vinyl covered and you could end up with mold under it.
