Painting Vinyl Kitchen Cabinets

We have white vinyl kitchen cabinets. Some of the doors are yellowing. Ironically, some more than others. I've heard this material described as PVC and melamine. I want to paint them white so they are uniform.

What paint should I use? I know that they will have to be cleaned thoroughly first.

I got different advice from 2 paint stores and the paint department at the local apron store. Has anyone out there solved this problem?

Light sand, absolutly clean, bonding primer, 2 top coats.

What Chris said. Light sand, bonding primer, then finish.

You'll probably get lots of opinions on finish, and what you choose is up to you. The bonding primer is a must. Benjamin Moore "Fresh Start" is a good choice like shown above, Insulx Stix, and XIM are also good.
