Hey guys, I'm new here,

I have to paint about 5 tin cabinets that are already painted. And I was wondering if I can srpay latex on them?

It depends. Is the surface clean and ready to accept paint or does it need to the sanded and primed before painting?

Not enough info.

I was hoping one of the painting pros would jump in after my question because I have no experience spraying. I don't know why latex would be any better or worse then oil if that's what you are asking.

Anyone?

I would look into taking them to an automotive paint shop....that would be far more durable than latex.

Actually we have decided to spray them with oil base now. Before we were gonna paint them latex because of the quick cleanup. We'll be spraying them with a HVLP gun, right?

HVLP will give you a nice finish.

latex would have worked just fine too.

OK, I just went to homedepot last night and picked up a husky HVLP gun for $80...I'll tell you how it works!
