Painting thin aluminium pipes?

Hi,

I am looking for the best method of painting/colouring fine aluminium pipes? (2mm wide).

The colour should be water resistant, and fairly hard wearing. I have tried just colouring with permanent markers, but this just scrubs straight off.

Any cheap alternatives please?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Steffan.

Painting thin aluminium pipes?

Hi Steffan

2 mm Pipe? I don't know what they are, I assume maybe a grid of them, what are used for? Are they interior or exterior?

Anyway, with something this thin I would think any kind of brushing would be out. It the part or parts removable? If you could lay it down I would make it easier to say spray paint. Just how much of it do you need to paint. Would one can of spray paint be enogh. Say two or three very light coats should color it fine but not cake up too much paint on them. A bit pricer but more permanent if you could have them powder coated (they would need to be removable to do that due though)

Good luck
