Nothing magical........depending on how deep or how high the texture is, you would have to decide what nap roller to use. On most antiqued (knockdown texture) ceilings/walls I simply use a 1/2 inch nap roller......load it up good with paint and have at it. On occasion, I have to use a 3/4 nap roller for ceilings with stalagtites dangling down.......good luck.

Recommend watching a lot of online videos...using a compressor, hopper, and a lot plastic. For small jobs, it's a lot easier to buy the spray on texture in a can. Use a low setting first and then go more heavy! Hope this helps!

Matt, I think they were wanting to know how to PAINT textured walls rather than how to apply texture.

Is there a way to prime venetian plaster enough so it looks flat ?? Was a Venetian plaster two part product from home depot so not genuine technique
