Painting Stone?

Two questions...have a stone wall that needs to be painted....

1. What is the best primer?

2. Is there a good clear coat to put on top that will prolong life of the paint?

Painting Stone?

Why would you want to paint a stone wall? If it is river rock or flag stone painting it will ruin the value of the stone.

Imagine your standard cement block wall at a school next to the play ground...

Then a masonry primer like SW Loxon will work well.

Ditto. Follow with a graffiti resistant coating if needed.
