Painting skirting boards


Can I use an acrylic flat primer and then a semi-gloss oil-based enamel on top?

Painting skirting boards


You can, but the flat primer will not help you to develop the sheen of the top coat. A primer called " enamel underbody" is made to do this.
I assume you are talking about over raw wood, not previously finished?
Would mean different answer-
