This is true.. I also thought about painting black and using n outline design in white and then paint the design in the center white. that would be unique

Can you trim as much white caulk off as possible? Maybe with a utility and scraper? If you can, then try using the BLACK 3M 5200 to form a nice bead over the top of the trimmed white. That way you adhere to the same compound. Then paint using techniques and paint types suggested here. That way you paint over black urethane and if it peels or cracks it won't be so noticeable. Acetone might help bond the black 5200 to the white 5200 and help with creating a smooth bead, unless someone here knows a better way.

Painting on Silicone


Thanks RoundRooster... just finished painting ... I painted on Bin Primer...yesterday and today did the black rust-oleum... go figure.. the black paint didn't want to cover the primer.. had to put on one coat that was streaky.. then went back with 2nd coat in few minutes to cover the streaks... don't know if it will stay on or not... will see...
appreciate suggestion... will see what happens now after this dries and go from there...
